Some areas of Janesville’s Riverside and Traxler parks, closed because of recent flooding, are reopening at noon today.

The Riverside Park gate will open, as will the south half of the park up to Veterans Field for access to baseball games.

Roads beyond the baseball diamond will be closed because of floodwater that remains at the far north end of the park. The North Pavilion remains closed.

Traxler Park will reopen up to the Warming House.

The central parking lot and north loop of Traxler Park will remain closed because of remaining water near the Rock Aqua Jays building and wet and soft roadside conditions.

The Lions Pavilion and Special Events restrooms will also remain closed.

The Renaissance Faire is being held in the south end of Traxler Park.

The Janesville parks department will continue to monitor park conditions.
