ELKHORN--Be warned—for one night this summer, going to Elkhorn will take you right into the Danger Zone.

The Walworth County Fair announced Wednesday that singer/songwriter Kenny Loggins will headline its Aug. 31 grandstand entertainment.

Loggins, whose songs propelled such films as “Footloose,” “Caddyshack” and “Top Gun,” rounds out the schedule of headliners at the fair, which also includes The Beach Boys.

This year’s fair will run from Wednesday Aug. 28 through Monday, Sept. 2 at the county fairgrounds in Elkhorn.

I saw Loggins just over a year ago in Vegas. What an incredible performer and show! Don't miss him if you get a chance. And dbt, my question is why is he slumming at your fair.

F-GL has had 5 songs in the Top 40 Country in the last year and 2 were Top 10 with 1 being #1. The other Top 10 is still climbing. They won Top New Vocal Duo at the ACMA where they were also nominated for Top New Artist and Top Vocal Duo.
As for Trace Adkins, he has been recording since 1996. He has had three #1 songs [Ladies Love Country Boys, You're Gonna Miss This, and (This Ain't) No Thinkin' Thing] with another 10 songs [including Hot Mama, Songs About Me, Honky Tonk Badonkadonk] reaching Top 10. He was at the Rock County Fair in 2005 and it was one of the highest attendances on record. He was nominated for 4 Grammys, won 3 ACM awards and 2 CMT awards. He is also currently on Celebrity Apprentice.

What do you mean Dwight? He had a top 40 song 25 years ago and he also had a song in that pooh movie! That's gotta be a barrel floater!
And WOW! The Beach Boys are going to be at Walworth County fair?!! Well... Love and Johnston will be there using that name because Love holds the rights to it. Wilson, Jardin, and Marks are touring separately this summer.
So let's see...Kenny Loggins and a couple of the Beach Boys vs. Florida-Georgia Line and Trace Adkins (plus the still unannounced Thursday act). I'm gonna put my money on the Rock County Fair this year!

Sigma, Florida-Georgia Line and Trace Adkins are hardly "bottom of the barrel washed out no name band". If you don't like it, I have two words for you: DON'T GO!
