Evansville man arrested for OWI 5 after trying to hide in a snowbank in Cambridge
CAMBRIDGE—An Evansville man was arrested Saturday afternoon on suspicion of fifth-offense intoxicated driving after he tried to hide from police in a pile of snow.
Dane County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested James M. Frion, 35, Evansville, at 3:45 p.m. in a business parking lot in Cambridge, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.
A concerned driver had called 911 to report an erratic driver traveling east on Highway 12/18, according to the news release. When deputies made contact with Frion, he fled on foot. Deputies chased him and found him where he had tried to conceal himself in a pile of snow, according to the release.
Frion was taken into custody at the Dane County Jail on the intoxicated driving charge as well as a charge of resisting.
