TOWN OF TURTLE—Rock County Sheriff’s Office deputies have taken a male suspect into custody after surrounding a house in the town of Turtle, officials say.

“I don’t have a name or if there are any injuries, but I know he (the suspect) was taken to Beloit Memorial Hospital,” said Sgt. Steven Selby.

The suspect was taken into custody just after 5 a.m. Monday, Selby said.

Whether the suspect was being treated for injuries or being evaluated, Selby didn’t know.

“But he is in custody and there’s no existing danger to the rest of the community,” he said.

Deputies remain at the scene, 2237 Huebbe Parkway, town of Turtle, Selby said.

The incident was reported at 12:30 a.m., according to a dispatcher at the Rock County Communications Center.

More details will be released as they become available.
