TOWN OF TURTLE—No one was arrested on criminal charges, but a man was taken into custody after Rock County Sheriff’s Office deputies and SWAT team members responded to a disturbance Monday morning on the north side of Beloit.

Police responded at 12:19 a.m. to a report of a man “freaking out” at 2237 E. Huebbe Parkway in the town of Turtle, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

SWAT negotiators talked with the 53-year-old man for more than two hours. Around 5 a.m., deputies saw the man leave the house and walk into the sunroom. Police entered the sunroom and took the man into custody, according to the news release.

The man was taken to Beloit Memorial Hospital for evaluation, according to the news release. The case is under investigation, and no criminal arrests have been made.
