Democratic aide apologizes for Dahmer comment
MILWAUKEE (AP) — Wisconsin’s Democratic Party spokesman is apologizing for comparing Republican Gov. Scott Walker with serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer.
Graeme Zielinski made the comments in three tweets after prosecutors announced Friday they closed the John Doe investigation of Gov. Scott Walker’s aides.
In one, Zielinski tweeted: “” (at)GovWalker had better lawyers than Jeffrey Dahmer in beating the rap. Clear that he committed crimes.”
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported (http://bit.ly/Xg9uXJ) top Democrats called the tweets inappropriate.
Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett’s chief of staff Patrick Curley quoted the mayor as saying the tweets were over the top. Democratic Party Chairman Mike Tate apologized and called the tweets “overzealous and insensitive.”
Zielinski has deleted the tweets and apologized over Twitter to Walker and to Dahmer’s victims.

And I never said you declared you were offended.
Dot #1) You had previously said, "Tolerance has proven to be a one way street in this age of political correctness..."
Dot #2) In reply to your TOLERANCE comment I said, "and you just provided further proof, RetiredAirForce, with your comments here."
Connect the dots and don't eat the chalk.

Funny reading the lefts comments on guilt by association because of "closeness" to a criminal. I am waiting for the same folks to start listing all the others that should be labeled indictable because they were also close to a criminal...oh never mind, can't expect consistency from these folks.

I think I am becoming immune to the constant bickering back and forth between the left and right here on the GazetteXtra blogs. The only statement that concerns me is NVgrf’s post about, “The reality is that neither had better lawyers than Ryan Braun”. Ouch! Say it ain’t so.

As much as I cannot stand what Zelinski commented on, I find the right wingers outrage here quite comical and predictable.
Proof? You can look at an awful lot of circumstantial evidence here and determine that Walker is completely innocent? All the people around Scott Walker were breaking the law but the man in command knew nothing about anything?? I guess that only holds true when it is a member of your tribe doesn't it Darlene?
I think a better comparison could be made to OJ Simpson, you can't "prove" he did anything. Does that mean he did nothing? What holds up in a court and what actually goes on where you are disconnected from reality.
So what wislady and the rest would have you believe that because he was not charged Scott Walker HAD NO CLUE that all of his aides were illegally campaigning for HIM on county time, right?? I don't believe that anyone could attach Walker to the veterans fund scandal as those men were just thieving pedophiles. That being said what does that say about Walker's choices of associations? So much for the party of family values. I thought Eagle Scouts held honesty in high regard? Guess that doesn't count when it comes to advancing a political agenda.

"..now get over the fact that Walker did NOTHING wrong" I do not think this is necessarily the case. There was a great deal of wrong doing very close to Governor Walker and I believe there was some evidence that he should have been aware that there was a secret email account. Not being indicted does not mean that he did NOTHING wrong – it may mean that they did not want the case with the evidence or witnesses that they had. At the very least, some of these witnesses were sleazy (waiting for the argument back on that one).

You are being ridiculous, now get over the fact that Walker did NOTHING wrong. You are not entitled to make your own "facts". If you know of something he did that was illegal, go to the authorities with your proof.

Ten days ago, RetiredAirForce said, "There is no right not to be offended or bothered by other people’s speech or beliefs anywhere in our founding documents. Tolerance has proven to be a one way street in this age of political correctness..." [ http://gazettextra.com/news/2013/feb/21/... ]
"Tolerance has proven to be a one way street in this age of political correctness...," and you just provided further proof, RetiredAirForce, with your comments here.
Zielinski's comment about the quality of legal representation is an opinion that, when examined sans the outrage of the Dahmer case, few would take exception with. As RetiredAirForce has pointed out, "There is no right not to be offended or bothered by other people’s speech or beliefs..." The comment that people expressing concern should be pointing to is Zielinski having said, "Clear that he committed crimes."
