Flash flood watch in effect through Monday night
SULLIVAN—A flash flood watch remains in effect through Monday night, according to a statement issued by the National Weather Service, Sullivan.
The flash flood watch went into effect at 3 p.m. Sunday and continues for a portion of south central Wisconsin including these counties: Rock, Sauk, Columbia, Dane, Green, Iowa, Lafayette, Marquette and Sauk plus Green Lake.
One to 3 inches of additional rain has fallen in these areas that have already received widespread 4 to 8 inches of rain in the past couple of days.
Hilly terrain, especially in Iowa and Sauk counties, will be especially susceptible to flash flooding and road washouts. Mudslides and debris flows are possible, according to the warning.
