Rock County sheriff issues travel warning
The Rock County Sheriff’s Office is asking motorists to limit their travel and drive with extreme caution.
Rock County is under a Winter Weather Advisory until 6 p.m. Wednesday, according to a news release.
The National Weather Service says Rock County will experience blowing snow due to northwest winds anticipated to reach as high as 30 mph, with heaviest snow between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Total snow is anticipated to be between 3 and 6 inches.
The sheriff’s office reported that deputies began responding to vehicle accidents and runoffs due to poor visibility and slippery conditions around 8 a.m.
As of 9:20 a.m., deputies had either responded to or were in the process of responding to four accidents and six vehicle run-offs, according to the release.
Dane County issued a similar warning and said in a news release at 11 a.m.: The roads are extremely slippery, and some areas are experiencing near whiteout conditions.

It's nasty out there folks ! I had to go to the store and,dealt with several morons as usual ,it always amazes me how some people drive when we have snow !
