Walker to deliver State of State on Jan. 15
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Gov. Scott Walker will be delivering his annual State of the State address to a joint meeting of the Legislature on Jan. 15.
Walker notified legislative leaders on Monday.
Walker plans to deliver the speech at 7 p.m.
Walker will be speaking to a Legislature controlled by Republicans, just as it was each of the past two years.
Walker is expected to use the speech to outline some of his priorities for the second half of his term. More details are to come in his state budget, which he will release in February.

The government can't go out and force people to hire. All they can do is create a climate that we hope make it easier to hire or even start a business.
We have 30 Republican Governors trying very hard to buck Obama's non-job climate of high taxes, and over reaching regulations on the Federal level.
And does it really help when the left spew anti-rich propaganda against those who provide the jobs?
Take a look around. Where and who is the problem? Which party killed the mining bill? Which party shuts out coal plants and power plants and family farms? Which party boycotts small businesses and which party protests against those who simply voice an opinion on Christian values (Hobby Lobby, Chick-fil-a)??
Get real, get a reality check on your left wing anti-everything.

916WI, I think you nailed it on that one. That recall crap was just a circus fueled by irrational emotions and no concept of reality pushed by a few and followed by too many who were not ashamed to display their childish at best behavior in front of the entire World. If I was as easily dooped as some I would be holding the teachers to their claims of massive layoffs if ACT 10 was passed, but like all ridiculous claims not based in reality it was just a way to get the fools to follow along and carry the banner. That part of the recall worked like a charm.

"Anybody ever heard the number 250,000 before?"
--------
Just spitballing......but is it the number of times you have been rejected by an employer during an interview within the first 5 minutes of it beginning? True idiocy, similar to that which you possess, is immediately recognizable and unmistakable........Keep at it though little guy. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while:)

"some thought because they signed it they did not have to vote"

You can't possibly be serious? If you are, congratulations! You have just succeeded in labeling the anti-Walker contingent as some of the dumbest people in the state........Keep up the good work!

Walker said his goal was 250,000 jobs by 2015, it was a ridiculous goal and anyone that believed him or hold on to that is as idiotic as the ones holding onto Obama promising to close Gitmo or pulling out of Aghanistan. Things happen that change, they know how to appeal to the lowest common denominator when on the campaign trail, it seems that those partisans don't learn from each cycle. Then again to actually think past what their idols or targets of hatred say and look at what they do would involve thought on their part.

It's good to see so many on the left complain about jobs. States rights and getting the Federal Government out of the way is part of the TEA party platform.
Welcome!
Obama's EPA just shut down another 600 jobs in PA. States rights indeed.

Donnw How is all those jobs he promised going for this state? Just remember 2014 is just around the corner. Some did not believe in the recall and some thought because they signed it they did not have to vote, but the signatures proved a point and many will believe in change in 2014 as we want to move our State forward.

I was going to add a scathing remark to accompany the others, then I realized they weren't talking about Obama's State of Union address.
I think it would be very amusing if Governor Walker stepped up to the podium, paused for a moment, then said: "BOHICA!", turned around and left the building.
If he wants to stretch things out he could politely remind the state that his party has a majority in both the Senate and Assembly, before outlining his initiatives for business-friendly mining regulations, a right-to-work law initiative, and new voter-id requirements.
☺ Have a nice day! ☺
