Thumbs up for UW-Rock residence hall
JANESVILLE – A consultant says a 120-bed residence hall on the UW-Rock County campus would be a viable venture.
UW-Rock Dean Carmen Wilson told The Gazette that the building could be ready as soon as the fall 2014 semester.
No tax dollars would be used for the facility. Per-student rents would average $500 a month for a suite of four bedrooms or $575 for two-room suites.
The final decision has not been made, and the Rock County Board will likely have to agree, as the county owns the land and buildings, Wilson said.

love2bmama,
I don't know of official plans, but there are some four year programs already offered at UW-Rock. There are also several engineering programs from UW-Platteville offered through UW-Rock (via distance education). I personally don't prefer distance education, but I would have definitely stayed at UW-Rock if they had their own four year electrical engineering degree.

Is there plans for UW-Rock to become a 4 year college at some point?

there is a lot of affordable housing within walking distance of the campus, so tearing up the prairie for housing for less than 20 people doesn't make sense to me...
