Man arrested in stabbing incident

JANESVILLE—Police arrested a 55-year-old Milton man Sunday after a stabbing in Janesville.

Janesville police were dispatched at 4 p.m. Sunday to 502 1/2 S. Franklin St. for a report of a stabbing. Two men were reportedly arguing over the theft of a coat and iPod when one of the men pulled out a folding knife and stabbed the other man multiple times in the right leg and left arm.

The suspect fled from the home and was later arrested without incident on North Chatham Street.

Kenneth H. Dorsey, 200 N. Janesville St., Milton, was arrested for second degree recklessly endangering safety and disorderly conduct while armed with a dangerous weapon. He is being held at the Rock County Jail pending an initial court appearance.

The victim, a 50-year-old Janesville man, was transported to Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center in Janesville with non-life threatening injuries.
