Name of Evansville fatal crash victim released
TOWN OF RUTLAND—The name of the 32-year-old Evansville woman who died as a result of her injuries during Monday’s two-vehicle crash on Highway 14 in the town of Rutland has been released.
Jessica A. Frank, was taken by ambulance to University Hospital, Madison, where she was pronounced dead, according to a Dane County news release.
A second Evansville woman, Karla M. Camm, 42, suffered serious injuries and also was taken to University Hospital, Madison, where she was in fair condition Tuesday morning.
According to the news release: Frank was driving south on Highway 14 at West Rutland Road in a Pontiac Sunfire when she drove onto the shoulder, overcorrected, crossed the centerline and hit an oncoming Toyota Rav4, driven by Camm. Upon impact, the Sunfire rolled over and pinned Frank, who was not wearing her seatbelt, and had to be extricated from the vehicle.
Camm, who was wearing her seatbelt, also had to be extricated from her vehicle.
Highway 14, between County A and Highway 92, was closed to traffic for four hours.
