VIDEO: Police seek public’s help in catching burglar

JANESVILLE—Janesville police are asking anyone with information about an early Tuesday morning burglary at Julie N Ray’s Liquors store, 1621 W. Court St., to call the Janesville Police Department at 608-757-2244 or Janesville Area CrimeStoppers at 608-756-3636.

Callers may remain anonymous and are eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.

According to a department news release:

Police responded at 1:57 a.m. Tuesday to an alarm at the West Court St. liquor store when they found the drive-up window smashed out.

Surveillance video shows the burglar entering the store through the drive-up window, placing numerous packs of cigarettes and liquor bottles in a bag and fleeing through same window.

The burglar is described as a 5-foot-9 white male wearing a winter coat with the hood up, jeans, black tennis shoes with white soles, and black-rimmed glasses. He was in the store for about 1 minute.
