Woman killed in accident identified

MADISON - The Janesville woman killed in a traffic accident in the town of Dunkirk on Friday is Alyson M. Burn, 34, according to the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office.

A death notice from a local funeral home identifies the woman as Alyson Michelle Tirpak-Burn.

The accident remains under investigation.

The accident occurred at 1:27 p.m. Friday on Highway 51 near Tower Drive east of Stoughton, when the car Burn was driving crossed the centerline and struck a recycling truck, according to news releases.

Burn’s 4-year-old daughter was treated for minor injuries at Stoughton Hospital and released to relatives.

Services for Burn are set for 7 p.m. Friday at Schneider Apfel Schneider & Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Janesville. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of services Friday at the funeral home.
