Another round of winter weather in Minn
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) ó An April snowstorm was making a slippery mess of Twin Cities roads for evening commuters.
By late Thursday afternoon, the National Weather Service in Chanhassen reported about 4 inches of snow. Cambridge north of the Twin Cities had 8 inches while Anoka had 5.5 inches.
The storm could dump up to a foot of snow in northeastern Minnesota by Friday. Duluth reports 6 inches of snow over 24 hours and itís still snowing.
Forecasters say Duluth could set a new April record for snowfall. The record for the month is 31.6 inches set in 1950.
National Weather Service meteorologist Dan Effertz in Chanhassen says normally the Twin Cities should see highs approaching 60 this time of year. But temperatures will only reach the 50s next week.
