Rock River flooding to continue

JANESVILLEóThe National Weather Service says the Rock River will continue to rise and that minor flooding will continue.

The weather service reported on its website that the river gauge at Afton, just south of Janesville, registered 9.2 feet at noon Monday. Thatís just above the flood stage of 9 feet.

The river level at Afton is expected to rise to 10.3 feet by Sunday morning before falling back.

South River Road on Janesvilleís south side would begin feeling the effects of the flooding when the river stage reaches 10.4 feet, according to the weather service.
