APPLETON, Wis. -- First lady Michelle Obama has returned to battleground Wisconsin as the Obama campaign tries to push the state's 10 electoral votes into the Democratic president's column.

Mrs. Obama spoke Friday to a crowd of more than 2,000 at Lawrence University in Appleton. She spent much of her speech citing her husband Barack Obama's accomplishments.

The Post-Crescent reports the first lady drew loud cheers when she hit on health care reform, Pell grants for student aid and seeing through the conclusion of the war in Iraq.

Mrs. Obama says her husband is best fit to lead since he's lived the American dream himself.

She says the election "could come down to a few thousand votes."

Mr. bush we have had 7 embassies attacked during your administration, with guards and civilians killed at several of them what do you propose. "Duuh ah'll jest go to the ranch and ponder on thet a while". D'ju say they" used ak47's mebbe we'll bomb Czechoslovakia". By the way if you follow the news they had arrested some of the ringleaders the next day. Or did you think a war would have been more appropriate?

wasp..maybe you have a memory problem but someone brought up the deaths in Libya and you responded to it. So I did too. And your "anointed one" said it was "just a bump in the road."

donnaw - Is your reading comprehension causing you problems again? Where do think I would get CBO numbers? You'll have to figure that out. Tough one!! You seem to ignore major problems under republicans. I don't want to make light of any deaths,as I think all live are precious, but you seem to be good at changing subjects and deflect, deflect, and more deflection. Maybe your candidates will get their feet out of their mouth and get back in the race but time is short.

waspie...I don't know where you got your federal deficit/ GDP but according to the website presidentialdebt.org: as of 6/2012 the federal deficit was 103% of GDP and is projected to be $16.3 TRILLION by the end of the year. In 2007 it was 62%, 2010 it was 92% and 2011 it was 101%. Seems to be trending the wrong way I would say. That's just one problem. How about all the Obama scandals that the mainstream media overlooks? Fedup had a pretty good list that you just overlook and say "oh well, Obama is still my guy!"

Would you like to be reminded of all the service men and women we lost in Iraq for no apparent reason (WMD'S)? All the innocent Iraqi's dead? Maybe 3000 plus people in New York? Or going back a little bit, 242 Marines in Lebanon? Can you say cut and run? Are you so silly as to think we have never before lost embassy officials and employees? Better check some history. That the best you got? Pretty weak my friend.

Some of the presidents accomplishments to ponder. Before he took office in 2009, the spending was at 24.9% of GDP. Total spending 2012, 23.4% of GDP. 2009 deficit was 8.3% of GDP. 2012, 7.6%. 2009 taxes, 16.5% GDP, 2012 15.8% of GDP. These numbers from CBO. An increase of over 4 million jobs in last 27 months. Bin Ladin gone, several more terrorists too numerous to name, gone. Most of the troops out of Iraq. Not a bad record I would think.

Again, when the left can't argue that Obama's presidency has been successful because of his leadership, policies and administration, they bring up Romney's taxes and racism. They don't have a leg to stand on supporting POTUS. Deflect, deflect, deflect!

fedup....You will be nowhere to be heard from after the debates AND the election. My 1K offer still stands for all who would like to put their Mitt mouths were there wallet is. I expect the same number of takers as in '08...zero! Republicans don't seem to enjoy much beyond yapping.

Maybe the Pres should Michelle do his light work and have her debate Romney on Wednesday. I'm not sure he would fare any better in that situation. Mitt will be able to go to one of his homes and unpack his backs after the debates.

One thing that I notice is that Obama and Michelle really seem to genuinely like each other. This isn't a political marriage, it's a real one.

And the backwash served up in the left wing media is Wisconsin is safely in Obama's column. As safe as Barrett was as they gloated on election night. Keep boycotting those ridiculous lunch standards kids. You know socialist markism when you see it. You are born Conservative-free and giving. Liberalism is a series of lies and forced actions upon those freedoms through years and years of small suppression one step at a time. A regulation here, and large slurpy there, taxes everywhere. Keep fighting kids, it's your future they are robbing you of.

Every time she & her husband give speeches,it reminds me of what a lawyer would talk like,in the court room,to convince the jury that everything they are saying is true,to win a vote,or a not guilty judgement,i have always called people like that, fast talkers !!
And the old saying, you can't trust a lawyer HMMM..

I went to see her and hear her speech, but I was not let in, I didn't have a photo ID. That made me angry because no ID is needed to vote, which is much more important than her silly old speech.
