Name of fatal crash victim released
ORFORDVILLE—The Rock County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of one person killed and another person critically injured in a single vehicle rollover crash Sunday night on Highway 213, in Spring Valley Township.
Douglas W. Axelson, 26, Brodhead, was pronounced dead at the scene at 9 p.m. by Rock County Deputy Coroner Don Robinson. His body was taken to the morgue at Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, Janesville, and an autopsy is scheduled for Monday at the Dane County Morgue in Madison, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.
Sean M. Waterman, 32, Brodhead was flown to Rockford Memorial Hospital where he was admitted and listed in critical but stable condition, the release said.
The crash happened at 6:33 p.m. and was cleared at 11:37 p.m.
