TOWN OF DUNN, Wis. (AP) — Sheriff’s officials say three people are dead in an early morning crash in Dane County.

Authorities say a car left Highway 51 in the town of Dunn about 2:30 a.m. Friday and struck two trees. Two men were thrown from the car. A woman was pinned in the back seat. All three were pronounced dead at the scene. They were the only people in the 1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass.

Officials say the car was southbound on Highway 51 and veered off into the right side ditch.

Investigators say it appears the driver over corrected and crossed back to the opposite ditch where it continued down an embankment and hit the trees. The victims have not been identified.
