Janesville man arrested on multiple charges
JANESVILLE—Janesville police Monday night arrested William L. Dixon, 58, of 4437 Oakley Road, on charges of operating while intoxicated, reported to be his fourth offense; operating after revocation and nonregistration.
He also was wanted on outstanding warrants for court dates missed for other pending OWI arrests through the Janesville Police Department, Juneau and Columbia counties.
According to a Janesville Police Department news release, Dixon was pulled over at 9:34 p.m. Monday at Center and Kellogg Avenues after an officer noticed the red Ford truck he was driving wasn’t registered and was weaving in his lane of traffic.
The officer then noticed a strong odor of intoxicants coming from Dixon, who was unable to take field sobriety tests because he could not do any of the walking or balance tests and showed other signs of impairment.
Dixon will be taken to the Rock County Jail after his release from a detoxification facility.
