MADISON—The governor’s mansion will be open for holiday tours next month.
According to the governor’s office, the tours include a view of the main rooms on the first floor and a brief description of the decorations, including six Christmas trees.

The 2-hour tours, which are free, start Dec. 5 and run through Dec. 15.
Gov. Scott Walker is encouraging participants to bring a non-perishable food item for Second Harvest.

"you make an antagonistic comment about the Dems and the clock tower, then make a sarcastic comment"

"the disgusting comments with your Hate"

This is my comment....

"Go visit the Clock Tower instead, if you hate the Governors Mansion."

Liberals love to twist words and try to use them to attack. How one sentence can cause all the hate vomit, is astounding. Also, I did not use the word...democrat...in the sentence.

Read the rest of the comments, and then continue your accusations of hate, as the vile spills from your comments.

Enjoy the tour of the Governors Mansion....or not. You can try, but you will not spoil it for the people who include it as part of their celebration of the Christmas Season.

Even seeing the trashy "anti-christian" display by the FFRF (Gaylor) group in the Capitol Rotunda, along with the Nativity display and the Christmas Tree, doesn't spoil my holiday spirit. Some of us actually believe that "coexist" is more than a bumper sticker.

Obama didn't spend a dime of taxpayers money renovating the White House. The renovations which were financially consistant those made by George W were modest and funded by a donation from Obama's presidential campaign to the White House Endowment Trust. A fund that was created to raise money for such projects through private donations.

Donna please provide link to support this figure as There is not one,,Obama's spent over $376 million on redoing the White House.

Well, I see the Repubs are in Awe, and the Dems are in discust. I really don't care which side of the fence a person walks on, I look at it as who is the person. So as for who the person is in Walker, I have no interest what so ever to go and visit his mansion or support anything at all that he comes up with. The same would go for a demacratic govenor if his attitude was in the same field as Walkonus, I mean Walker. Now, if it were a Governor I could respect then I would probably like to go see it. Enough said?

wtp
I enjoy the tour, and go almost every year, even when the governor is a democrat.

Regarding the upgrades in the Governors Mansion, the project was funded by private donors from an event held at the Mansion.

REMINDER:
The Walker haters even protested people donating money to upgrade the Executive Residence. Shame on them.

Again one sure can pick out the Democrats with their negative camments about the state mansion. If a Democrate was living there wiselady and others would be praising the tour.

Will we get see how the Guv's wife spent the $150,000 on the kitchen remodel. Oh and the new stainless steel coolers she bought, because the plastic ones that were in place weren't good enough. I guess they reminded her of trailer trash. Where she could have gotten the experience for that idea I have no clue.

Wislady Why do you have to start the disgusting comments with your Hate. The Clock Tower comment has nothing to do with this article as are most of your comments and references to the article SUBJECT. The Governors Mansion is a beautiful place to visit and it is not about the tenant It is about the History and Holiday.

It is really getting disgusting when something as nice and decent as this is turned into nothing but a stupid attack for political reasons. Congradulations for doing your best in your own special peverted way to cheapen the holiday spirit. If you think your being funny, guess again. Maybe once and awhile you could lay off the stupid at least for the HOLIDAYS or is that expecting too much from some of you?

The "Governor's Mansion" should be sold; the state doesn't need the expense. It's not like the Governor needs to have a mansion to live in through his/her term. A small apartment near the Capitol would be sufficient
