MILTON -- The Milton Burger King on Highway 26 at St. Mary Street closed early Sunday after a car crashed through the building’s north side into a restroom.

Milton police report a car, driven by Constance Fisher, 74, Milton, hit the building about 3:45 p.m. Police report that Fisher was “accelerating too rapidly while attempting to park, causing the vehicle to jump the curb” and run through the building’s north wall. No injuries were reported.

Milton police Lt. John Conger said Fisher was not ticketed because the incident occurred on private property.

A Burger King employee said a decision was made to close until inspectors could assess the damage.
