Former coach faces 21 more charges
ELKHORN--A former Williams Bay High School girls junior varsity basketball coach could be facing three more child sexual assault charges and 18 more counts of possession of child pornography based on evidence found on his computer, a prosecutor said Wednesday.
Shane S. McKinley, 27, formerly of Delavan and now living in Georgetown, Texas, is charged with one count of repeated sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl and five counts of possession of child pornography.
Police in December discovered he was having a relationship with a player on his team. The girl was a student at Williams Bay High School, according to court documents.
At a status hearing Wednesday, Walworth County Deputy District Attorney Joshua Grube said Delavan police found more child pornography after searching McKinley’s computer.
