MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Sen. Chris Larson of Milwaukee has been elected as Democratic leader in the state Senate.

Larson was chosen Tuesday during a closed-door meeting of Democrats who are in the minority in the Senate heading into the 2013 session. Larson was challenged by state Sen. Jon Erpenbach for the leadership post.

Erpenbach is a 14-year veteran of the Senate who previously served as minority leader a decade ago. The 32-year-old Larson was just elected in 2010 and has emerged as one of Gov. Scott Walker’s sharpest critics.

Larson said he is committed to working with Walker and Republicans in the majority. He said he intends to be a voice for the middle class.

Republicans hold an 18-15 majority in the Senate. The Republican leader is Scott Fitzgerald of Juneau.

$250,000 a year or more, upper
$249,999 to $100,000 a year, middle
Less than $99,999 a year to $50,000, lower middle

Nonetheless there are plenty of VARIABLES: family, family size, homeowner, apartment dweller, savings, family profession, big city, little town. etc.

Copied from Ask.com, searched 'define middle class income'.

I would think that if you make above the poverty cutoff, and under the SS withholding tax cut off, your middle class.

"Larson said he is committed to working with Walker and Republicans in the majority. He said he intends to be a voice for the middle class."

Uh huh. My bet is that if he does work with the Republicans, they'll have him committed. That rhetoric about being a voice for the middle class is double speak for being in the unions' pocket, no doubt. I'm hoping he surprises me. I sincerely doubt he will.

cnw1313 - shoplifting is not all. Their 2nd choice was Erpenbach. Erpenbach, as Senate Minority Leader when he was 43, committed trespassing when he climbed over a fence and jumped in a pool on private property with a bunch of buddies. 2 choices for Democrat Majority Leader - Dumb or Dumber.

Larson is the perfect choice for the democrats. His hate for Walker embodies what their party is all about.
