MADISON—State Rep. Robin Vos of Burlington is expected to be elected as the next speaker of the state Assembly when Republicans meet to choose their leaders for the next session.
Both Assembly Republicans and Democrats are meeting separately on Tuesday to elect their leaders for the session that begins in January.
No one has announced that they plan to challenge Vos as speaker, Rep. Scott Suder as majority leader or Rep. Bill Kramer as speaker pro tempore, the person in charge of presiding over the Assembly. Both Suder and Kramer served in those positions last session. Vos would take over for Jeff Fitzgerald, who ran for the U.S. Senate instead of seeking re-election.
On the Democratic side, Rep. Peter Barca of Kenosha is expected to be re-elected as minority leader.

Let the Republicans ram through a bunch more of their unconstitutional garbage and let it get tied up in court. You know if they actually passed good ideas into legislation, the state might actually come together. But instead they choose to ram legislation down everyone's throat simply because they have the majority. Enjoy it while it lasts. Nothing done that can't be undone.

Schnibbs......Luckily, your "opinion" holds no weight with Wisconsin voters. It seems as if the legislation(Act 10) that Walker is pushing that has got the liberals flustered, does more to help the middle class home owners than these "rich donors" you reference.
"A lot of laws that the State Repulicans passed in the last two years are not minority friendly"? Can you please be specific and identify which ones? Thx!

Wisconsin turns Republican once again. Proving nothing is needed to change GOP good solid values.
Just an historic president coat tails term for many like Baldwin.
