BOSTON — Mitt Romney has conceded defeat in the presidential contest.

The Republican nominee told supporters he would pray for Barack Obama’s success in leading the nation.

Romney thanked his running mate Paul Ryan, saying the Wisconsin congressman had a bright future in the GOP.

Romney lost nearly all the major battleground states to Obama including Ohio, the hardest fought prize.

The former Massachusetts governor said it was time to put aside partisan bickering and work together for the good of the country.

wasp2491 - You ask what ones religion would matter? Hmmm. I'd like a leader that thinks logically, not one that thinks fairy tales exist. Most logical people are not religious. Although when trying to win over a crowd you need to claim some kind of religion because the sheeple judge strongly on it.

Small business will be a thing of the past, rents will go up thanks to Obamacare. Four more years of uncontrolled spending. Just because someone can get big names like Springsteen and Dillon doesn't mean it will make him a good president.

Tell me, if he were a Muslim, what difference would it make? A persons religion or lack thereof, should make no difference.

The smell of sweet victory! Screw you Gazette for putting your worthless opinion in the Sunday paper. I guess I will now get the Sunday paper from the Milwaukee Journal. Why wouldn't you idiots support Romney anyway? You are a business and looking for the big tax cuts he would have gave you. Go ahead and remove this so Bliss Communications can control the real opinion that matters... the public opinion!

4bears - are you jealous because someone is wealthy or has more money than you? I don't begrudge anyone who has worked hard, donated a lot of money to charity and has more money than me. Would you say the same thing if the tables were turned? What if a Kennedy was running against Romney? Would you bring up his/her $$$$??? I would bet not.

Classy speech, like Mitt as a guy not a politician. He will be just fine.
