Rock County voters set a new record
JANESVILLE—Rock County voters set a new record for ballots cast during Tuesday’s election, according to Lori Stottler, county clerk.
Sixty-eight percent of Rock County’s eligible voters Tuesday cast 81,420 ballots countywide she said.
That compares with 79,611 ballots cast countywide during the 2008 fall election and 80,759 ballots cast countywide during the 2004 fall election, according to Stottler.
“This is a new record for ballots cast for Rock County--at least since 1992,” Stottler wrote in an early Wednesday morning email to The Gazette.

Being a former Beloiter, I was shocked and amazed that Rock County went Democrat. All this after Obama flat out LIED to the GM workers and Paul Ryan is a home-county boy. Glad I moved away from there years ago. Can anyone think independently? I am ashamed to say that I grew up there.

Come on winterstinks, your hero Romney encouraged individuals like you to pull yourself up by your bootstraps or if you needed a little extra cash, ask your parents to help out. Your chicken little routine is a bit over the top. How's that Republican trickle down theory working out after 12 years? The job creators are still in China putting their "tax breaks" to work. Oh the irony!

Wasn't winterstinks and other right wing t party Republican misinformed by FAUX noise saying the same thing about Obama 4 years ago. How pathetic they are. It sure is a pleasure to hear the cry babies now, after they did everything to destroy a great Democracy

winter, you sound like an angry bitter person - even your name implies anger. Perhaps you should watch something other than Fox News.

I found that voting twice against Paul Ryan was VERY satisfying.

Yeah Sigma...remember how the founders of this great nation had to show the people their oil portraits painted on canvass in order to be able to sign the Declaration of Independence?

That is because I voted a couple times.. very easy to do seeing there is no monitoring or ID's needed.
