Woman cited after car hits boy on bicycle
MILTON—A 12-year-old boy was treated for non-life threatening injuries after being struck by a car in Milton late Friday morning.
Milton police and firefighters responded to Madison Avenue and John Paul Road at 11:35 p.m. Friday, according to a news release from the Milton Police Department.
A car driven by Danielle McCabe, 24, of 65 N. Janesville St., Milton was eastbound on John Paul Road when she collided with the boy who was crossing the street on his bicycle, according to the news release.
It did not appear that McCabe had time to stop before hitting the boy, the news release said.
The boy, who was not wearing a helmet, was transported to Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center for head and facial injuries.
Police declined to release the 12-year-old’s name Friday.
McCabe was cited for causing injury while operating with a suspended license. She was transported to the Rock County Jail on a warrant for an unrelated offense.
