ELKHORN -- A former Williams Bay coach waived his right to a preliminary hearing Wednesday morning in Walworth County Circuit Court where he faces one count of repeated sexual assault of a child and six counts of possession of child pornography following an investigation into an inappropriate relationship with one of his players.

McKinley will return to court Feb. 10 for his arraignment.
According to the criminal complaint, the relationship with the 16-year-old girl began in November 2010.
Between December 2010 and the summer of 2011, McKinley would take the girl to his Delavan home for sex, according to court documents. He also took nude photographs with his cell phone of the girl.
Police executed a search warrant on McKinley's home Dec. 21 and seized several computer memory cards.
In an affidavit filed with the search warrant, investigators interviewed a friend of the girl's who began to have suspicions last year about her friend's secretive relationship.
By mid-December, the girl's friend came to believe that the girl's boyfriend actually was McKinley. She immediately reported it to her head coach and her parents, according to the affidavit filed with the search warrant.
