Baldwin to be on Senate budget, aging committees
MADISON—Incoming Sen. Tammy Baldwin has been named to Senate committees dealing with health, education, the budget and homeland security.
Baldwin will also serve on the Senate Special Committee on Aging. Her predecessor, outgoing Sen. Herb Kohl, also served on that committee.
The Democratic Baldwin is a former congresswoman who gave up her House seat to run for the Senate. Her appointment to the Senate Budget Committee comes after she served six years on the House Budget Committee.
She’ll also be on the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Government affairs. That committee oversees the Department of Homeland Security.
Baldwin will be sworn into the Senate on Jan. 3. She says she’s looking forward to working across party lines to help the middle class and small businesses.

donnaw - I really don't care what you think or say. Have you EVER seen wislady make a comment that was off topic and corrected her? If wislady wants to make veiled accusations about others, why is it inappropriate for others to do the same to her? You righties have had your way so long with your lies and propaganda that you now think you can play censor out here also? Sorry – not Faux News so get used to it. Try it again…

Where are the moderates? You guys elect Ron Johnson, Paul Ryan, and Scott Walker and ask us THAT?
.
I guess it's true -- Republicans want a veto on who Democrats can run, next.

Ttt, etc. I posted early on in the race I was not a fan of Thompson (any relation tttt?) so he would have not have been a good choice either. There were no good choices. But Baldwin....you guys aren't really serious! Where are the moderates?
carlit...with your level of sanity I wouldn't accuse others of anything!
