Team operation? One walks away while the other one calls? Split the take...?

WIheat,Sarah and Sugar, you are all so right! Sugar - hate is such a nasty word, wouldn't "upset by" be better? I'm sure you do not "hate people".

Everyone is jumping to conclusions and making decisions about this women based on this news article. Until we know the facts I think it is silly to make such acusations and already hang this women. We dont know why she left, if she has any mental health issues, if it is proven that she stole any money etc, etc. Who made all of you judge and jury? Lets wait to see if the Gazette has any more on this story before you convict this women of any wrong doing.
She is not the one who notified police she was missing, so to blame her for the fact that someone else called the police is rediculous. She cannot control what other people do. If she chose to go away for a couple of days to clear her head isnt that her right? No one knows the whole story. I hate people who think they know everything are ready to judge someone. Maybe all of you should look in the mirror and fix your own problems before throwing stones at someone else.
For this womens sake, I hope she and her family get whatever help they need.

There needs to be a confirmed action taken by the person to generate the "false" police activity. It would be impossible to prove that someone who disappeared did so with the intention of generating a search, unless they had done something like call 911 or leave a note.
.
If the embezzlement claims result in criminal prosecution, she is in plenty of hot water as it is.

"When Audrey Seiler staged her own kidnapping a few years ago in Madison, she was placed on probation and had to pay restitution for the police cost (or at least some of it). I wonder if that will happen in this case."

The difference here is that Keri Geschke did not "stage" anything...she just took off.

When Audrey Seiler staged her own kidnapping a few years ago in Madison, she was placed on probation and had to pay restitution for the police cost (or at least some of it). I wonder if that will happen in this case. Although it is no crime for an adult to leave her family, she had to know that her family and the authorities would be searching for her. There was certainly plenty of media coverage.

Great she is home. Other issues can be resolved. Maybe we all could walk a mile in her shoes.

Please enlighten the rest of us as to what is illegal about an adult going away for a few days without telling anyone.

Did she make any false calls as you insinuate in your post? ("I bet if I made a false fire call just to hear sirens and see fire trucks I would be fined and/or jailed, so whats the difference???..")

The difference is...she didn't make a false call.

She obviously has other problems to deal with, but what you charge isn't one of them.

glad she is alive, but said she will hopefully have to pay for police time and maybe even a jail sentence or at least community work for running away from her responsibilities and family if she stole the money.

And never any restitution for the police time....I bet if I made a false fire call just to hear sirens and see fire trucks I would be fined and/or jailed, so whats the difference???.....HOW many times have stunts like that been pulled?!?!?
