Police arrested a man suspected in two armed robberies after one of the robberies occurred this morning.

Michael W. Batiste, 40, of 614 S. Locust St., Janesville, was arrested on charges of two counts of armed robbery, probation violation and bench warrants alleging disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia and attempted theft, according to a news release from the Janesville Police Department.

He was arrested shortly after a robbery at Commercial Bank, 1400 Black Bridge Road, Janesville. Police say Batiste demanded money from a teller at about 9:50 a.m., then hid in an apartment building next to the bank.

Police believe Batiste also committed the robbery at Quick Cash, 1728 Milton Ave., Janesville, on Sept. 12.

He only did this to be able to put food on the table and medicine for his family. This is President Obama's fault for not providing for these people.

They hauled out a girl later on. I wonder if she had something to do with letting him in the building.
