Trucking firm closes 2 operating centers
ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (AP) — Trucking giant Schneider National is closing two operating centers, one in Wisconsin and the other in Ohio.
Fifty jobs will be eliminated when Schneider National closes a fuel and maintenance center in Green Bay, where the company is headquartered. The trucking firm says it's also closing a center in Seville, Ohio, where 55 jobs will be lost.
Schneider National has 24 similar operating centers around the country. It employs about 19,000 worldwide.

That's not good when the cut rate carriers start cutting back. These guys and others like JB Hunt are the Walmart of the trucking industry, putting owner operators out of business.
