Swine flu summit in Milwaukee Tuesday

MILWAUKEE (AP) — The city of Milwaukee's health department and a business group are holding a summit for businesses Tuesday to discuss the spread of swine flu.

The Mayoral H1N1 Business Summit will present information about the risks of the swine flu, best practices for preventing and treating it and reducing its spread and impact.

In a news release, the city says all employees are at risk of getting sick and passing the strain to others. There is an also risk of spreading the virus between employees and clients.

Mayor Tom Barrett urged all businesses to send a representative to the meeting.

The Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce is also participating.

Admission is free to pre-registered participants at the Pfister Hotel. Registration on the day of will not be permitted.
