MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Republican Mark Neumann is launching a statewide tour this week complete with rallies and press interviews to give his run for governor a boost.

Neumann first announced he was seeking the Republican nomination in July. On Wednesday he scheduled an online news conference to formally announce his campaign a second time.

He says he's using the online news conference to set a tone for his campaign and to use technology to bring the state together.

Neumann entered the race already $1 million behind Scott Walker who has campaigned for months. Walker is the Milwaukee County executive. Neumann is a former congressman who lives in Nashotah just west of Milwaukee. He runs a real estate development firm and is a home builder.
