MADISON — Republican candidate for governor Mark Neumann plans an online news conference next week to formally announce his campaign.

The announcement comes two months after Neumann first officially announced he was running. He’s been raising money, conducting media interviews and working on shoring up support ever since. But that’s not stopping him from announcing again.

Neumann says he will answer questions during the online news conference that are submitted in advance or asked over a Web cam.

On Wednesday night he’s hosting a town hall meeting over the Internet.

Quote: "On Wednesday night he’s hosting a town hall meeting over the Internet."

And on Thursday, he will announce the URL for that meeting.

I personally like Scott Walker to win in the Republican Primary and win the Governor race next year.

Some people see the way things are and say: Why?

Ty Bollerude sees the way things could be and says: What?!

I think Mark Newmann is outstanding and I would be happy to support his efforts to become our new governor!

If we could get Wayne Wood to re-enter politics for the office of Governor, I'd vote for him in a New York minute.

Pakrbakr- From Wikipedia....Neumann was assigned to the powerful Appropriations committee. This assignment did not work out, as Neumann disapproved of pork-barrel projects, even for his own district. Neumann also wrote his own version of the budget, which would produce a balanced budget by 1999. Bob Livingston kicked him off of the Appropriations committee after he proposed an amendment requiring congressional approval of troop deployment to Bosnia. Neumann won re-election by 4,260 votes in a close 1996 race against Lydia Spottswood.

Neumann voted present in the election for Speaker of the House in 1997, instead of voting for Newt Gingrich.

So he's against earmarks, wrote a balanced national budget, and tried to keep us out of unconstitutional invasions. Where's the cluelessness ?

Mark Neumann did very little for us when he was in office before. That is why he is no longer there. As far I can see he is clueless.

Cuthbert...do you think he's related to the infamous Alfred E. Newman?
That could explain all of his announced announcements.

Let’s see. Republican Mark Neumann announced that he plans to make an announcement announcing the official announcement that he will be making a formal announcement.
Now I get it, but wait. What was he announcing? Never mind.
