One dies in Orfordville crash
ORFORDVILLE--One person is dead after a Sunday afternoon crash in the village of Orfordville.
An Orfordville couple was stopped at the sign at the intersection of highways 11 and 213 at 1:42 p.m. Sunday, Sgt. Kerry Schlittler said. The couple proceeded into the intersection when they were struck by a large commercial truck driven by Kevin Campbell, 27, of Washington, Penn., according to a news release from the Rock County Sheriff’s Office.
The couple in the SUV were transferred to Mercy Hospital, Janesville, with serious injuries. The driver was flown to University Hospital, Madison, where he or she died, the release stated.
The names of the two will be released Monday after family members are notified, according to the news release.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of the couple in the SUV. They are well-known and beloved individuals from the Orfordville area. A true case of bad things happening to good people.
