Authorities poised to re-open Highway 11 near Orfordville
ORFORDVILLE--Highway 11 through Orfordville will be re-opened by 4 p.m. now that Rock County Sheriff's Office deputies have cleared the scene of a two-vehicle crash.
A commercial box-style truck driving east on Highway 11 failed to stop at the sign at Highway 213 at 1:39 p.m. today, according to sheriff's office reports.
An SUV driven by an Orfordville couple stopped while driving north on Highway 213. The vehicle entered the intersection and was broad-sided by the truck, Sgt. Kerry Schlittler said.
The occupants of the SUV were transported to Mercy Hospital, Janesville, with serious injuries, Schlittler said. The couple's names were not immediately available.
One of the pair was flown from Janesville to a Madison hospital, Schlittler said.
The two passengers in the truck were uninjured, he said.

I hope this person's family has been notified. It would be upseting if someone was releasing a name in these comments before the appropriate people were notified.
