GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — The NFL has moved the Minnesota Vikings-Green Bay Packers’ kickoff on Nov. 1 to 3:15 p.m. to accommodate the possibility of the Philadelphia Phillies playing in the World Series.

The game featuring Brett Favre’s return to Lambeau Field was scheduled for noon CT. The Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants will play the early game. If the Phillies win the National League Championship series, the team would host Game 4 of the World Series at 8 p.m. on Nov. 1.

The NFL says moving the games will ease the burden on law enforcement and city services should the Phillies advance to the World Series.

The Oct. 5 game between the Packers and Vikings in Minneapolis was the highest-rated program ever on cable.

Tammy - You are wrong. Whenever something happens in this state it's always Doyle's fault.

PEOPLE!!! Governor Doyle, the Packers and the Brewers had nothing to do with it! The NFL moved the game so that if the Phillies make the world series, the city does not erupt in chaos when the football game between the Eagles and Giants is getting out at the same time that the crowds would be arriving for the potential World Series game. They're being proactive to avoid choas in Philly.
