Packers bring back veteran OT Tauscher
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Struggling all over the place on the offensive line, the Green Bay Packers have turned to a familiar face: veteran tackle Mark Tauscher.
The Packers signed Tauscher on Monday after bringing him in for a workout early last week. Tauscher started at right tackle for most of the previous nine seasons for the Packers, but the team did not bring him back after he tore a ligament in his left knee last December.
The Packers (2-2) have given up 20 sacks in four games. Tauscher could compete with current starting right tackle Allen Barbre.
The team also placed cornerback/return specialist Will Blackmon on injured reserve with a knee injury, ending his season.

time will tell if its the right move but it sure can't get any worse. Mark is a talented player and should improve the O-Line. now if they would jsut make some moves for the defense to get SOME type of pass rush.

Wow. They actually made a move to improve the O-Line? I hope Mark is recovered and stays healthy and show's the Packers he's an asset to the team.

he was a free agent because he had a possible career ending knee injury. had thompson signed him with that injury, all of the same people would've been screaming for his head.
