City business waits for a day
SHEBOYGAN--The Sheboygan Common Council is reluctant to hold its regular Monday night meeting today knowing it will be Brett Favre’s first game as a Minnesota Viking against the Green Bay Packers, where he spent 16 years as quarterback.
So, the city’s budget troubles, the political future of embattled Mayor Bob Ryan and other pressing issues can wait. Instead of zipping through a meaty agenda to finish in time for kickoff, the council will bump its meeting to Tuesday night when it might attract more of an audience.
Monday night’s game will be the first time Favre will be playing against the green and gold since retiring from the Packers in the spring of 2008.

Kind of like the report of GM providing televisions so production could continue on Monday night when the Packers played! Only in Wisconsin! Might be an interesting game to watch though....we need something to take our minds off this horrible economic time, if only for a few hours. Good luck to both Packers & Vikings. Hoping Brett is more successful than Joe Montana (that was sad to see a legend struggle instead of going out in a blaze of glory). When it comes to men and the way they think, Toby Keith's song "Good as I Once Was" hits the nail on the head!

That's probably because the Packers are based in Green Bay, a city in Wisconsin. ;-)

Only in WI would a municipality postpone ALL business because of the Packers and/or Favre.
Go Browns!

No wonder things are a mess, when the most important thing of the day is a football game. Here is how you can save a bunch of time. Do what you are suppose to do and then watch the highlights later. Nothing happens most of the game anyways, just a bunch of guys standing around.
