Hey, Gazette, a house burned to the ground in the Town of Darien on Thanksgiving night. Why is this small Ohio fire more important than that?

The truth of matter is,this idiot might have put a frozen turkey in the fryer and it exxxxxploded (lol) in his face,and knock the witts (what little he had)out of him.So he couldn't remember what happened da! it seem's like this happens all to often this time of the year.

However, there's a lot more oil (grease) with a fryer.

That can happen with a gas grill too.

We need a public service announcement about the safe use of turkey basters.

I do realize it says a gas leak caused the fire, but since when has gas caused a "spark"? And since when has gas simply caught fire and not exploded in a fiery mess? Dude was an idiot and doesn't want anyone to know. I respect that.

Rodenator looks like fun, but when a gopher burrowed into the basement I used a twine snare, it took a few tries, but I finally got him at his entrance.

additionally, this is one fire, relatively small, in COLUMBUS, OHIO.
other than the few people who were affected (in columbus, oh), who cares.

So...was it the turkey fryer that actually CAUSED the fire? Or was it the "worn hose that caused a gas leak, sparking the blaze"?
