SarahB1 - LOL. I wish I was still roaming the streets around UW-Whitewater. I had some fun filled memories of that place, including several visits to the police station (nothing serious)...

According to the police press release:
Witnesses at the scene described the striking vehicle as a newer model, silver in color, four-door sedan. One witness described the car as having a “smaller, sporty look, possibly a Mazda”. Another witness said that the first digit of the license plate was the number “1”, but wasn’t certain of the rest of the digits. It is also possible that it was an Illinois license plate.

The driver of the hit and run vehicle was described as a college age white male, with short brown hair, approximately 6 ft. to 6 ft 3 in. tall, and approximately 150-175 lbs. One witness indicated that she thought she has previously seen the suspect on the UW-Whitewater campus. This incident remains under investigation.

It doesn't state what the vehicle looked like or if there were any witnesses. That's a busy area and time of day.
