Illinois developer still has designs on Lake Geneva

LAKE GENEVA -- The Illinois developer at the center of several controversial projects that never got off the ground still has an eye on Walworth County. Mark Thomas, president of Shodeen Residential of Geneva, Ill., told an Illinois newspaper the company has property in Lake Geneva "that is ripe for large, master-planned communities." BLOG

Since Shodeen is doing pretty well in the recession, I'd hazard a guess they have a good idea what their market is like. It's pretty clear they aren't selling so much to locals with an MPC proposal this large.
