Milwaukee Mayor Barrett to run for governor
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett is running for governor.
Barrett made the announcement official on Sunday in front of his home in Milwaukee.
He says he deferred his decision until he was sufficiently recovered from the attack three months ago that left him with head and hand injuries.
He says he’s running because he loves his family and the state of Wisconsin, and he is concerned about the future.
The 55-year-old Barrett says he’ll build his campaign around the issues of jobs, education and the economy. He says businesses and government need to work together to restore the economy. He says he’ll outline specific plans for moving forward in the coming months.

So janesvillecomments just proved he is an idiot. You've got my vote Tom, and I know you'll do a great job as you always have!

He demonstrated that using bare hands against an attacker wielding a pipe is nowhere near as effective as using a gun against an attacker wielding a pipe. A convincing demonstration of the need for Wisconsin to have a concealed carry permit law. That's using your head, Mayor!

Why of course janesvillean. But can you name any important intiatives he has taken in Milwaukee or in all the years in congress? (Name 4) He is a nice guy, but NOT a leader. But for you any dem is best. Both candidates on the other side are far more qualified in this race. (wait name 3)
