Family still looking for missing man
The family of a missing Jefferson County man is still seeking the public’s help.
Joseph M. Coloso II has been missing since being released from an Oconomowoc hospital on Monday, his sister, Susan Coloso-Novak, said in a news release.
Coloso is recovering from a severe head injury. It’s possible he might be confused and might not know who he is or where he is going.
Coloso is 46 years old. He is 4-feet, 11-inches tall, 80-85 pounds and has blackish gray short hair.
On Saturday, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department, other area public safety agencies and family members conducted a search by land and air. They did not find anything in the immediate area.
Coloso was last seen near Highway 12 and Oakland Road, southeast of Cambridge, where his vehicle was found.
Anyone with information should call the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at (920) 674-7310.

There appears to be alot of true and false info going around about this case. Yes, he was injured by a horse, yes it was a head injury, yes he did leave the hospital on 11-9-09, it is unknown whether or not he was released or left AMA. It is unknown who drove him home. The hospital will not release any info to the family because of HIPPA. He has no relatives in West Bend, his vehicle was found by a hunter other then that all is unknown and or here say at this time. Being a family member, I appreciate all the thoughts and concern and hope we can figure this whole thing out soon.

PollyAnna, you should be a reporter ;-). I wish the Gazette had picked that information up before publishing this article. Time lines, especially with an event like this, are very important.
I hope his family finds him, alive and well.

Most likely the man was released to family and taken home...then he went missing. Very hard to care for some brain injury people in a community setting. Hard to care for them in a health care setting as well.

This does say the family is STILL seeking help, meaning they asked for help before. This is just the first time I'VE seen this info. Perhaps it was in the paper before, but just didn't hit the online version in a "front page" link.

He probably didn't have any insurance so they kicked him out. :(

Is there a scene missing here? Man with severe head injury is released to drive away in his own vehicle? Days later, he is noticed missing?

With a head injury,Please donot say this gentleman was released on his own?Surely hospital would ensure family, friend picked him up?
