I don't think the procedure is automated. Some days they link to the exact story, other times they link to the front page only.

bike..I don't know much about that stuff, but sites need to get more proactive about using ads that readers are "forced" to see as payment for content rather than charging money for content or forcing the purchase of print versions....They need to get MUCH more creative with net ad revenue than they are..Yes??

The story is there - but they choose to use a different headline, only confusing the reader more. This is the link to the actual story

Truth, while I agree that ads are a small price to pay for something free - It bothers me to know that because I landed on the main page of their site - my hit might be used to persuade an advertiser to purchase ads or the cost for impression will increase for said advertiser. Directing traffic in that way is highly frowned upon in internet marketing. While they may see an increase in ad revenue short term, they will ultimately see a decline in the long run.

But in this case there is no story to be found on the linked page!
The link leads to the main Walworth page, which does not display the intended story

In my opinion, a couple extra clicks is a small price to pay for free news..Web ads don't pay much..The gaz actually needs to start using forced popups like others are and start eliminating the print version...being "forced" to see ads before content is a fair price for news.

What's with the large portion of your news feeds linking to your Walworth main page? The least you could do is link me to the STORY when I click on that. If I wanted to go to the main page,I would have done so on my own! Trying to milk a few more ad dollars based on some inflated "hits"?
