52-year-old man dead in tractor accident

TOWN OF SHELDON — Authorities say a 52-year-old man died Saturday when he was run over by a tractor.

The Monroe County sheriff's office says a 59-year-old woman was backing up a tractor Saturday afternoon near the town of Sheldon to set up a piece of farm equipment. The man got caught between the tractor and the equipment and was run over.

Monroe County authorities continue to investigate the incident. The man's name wasn't immediately released.

My family went through something similar, my condolences to everyone involved. May your family and friends be there to give you strength during this horribly,sad time.

OMG... How terrible. I can't imagine how she must be feeling! I hope she has family and friends to console her.

I feel for his family as well. Chances are they may be related though? Just awful.
