Haha, the sad part is I thought she did learn her lesson. Looks like now she didn't. I am sorry for disagreeing with you all.

Well, well, well dog lover. I think you have no room to speak. After this accident it's all been done. I mean you can't really say anything else can happen. I mean injuries might show up but I know nobody died. Plus there are a lot of good drivers that are teens. Teens are the ones that just hot rod in nice cars like there. There are plenty of old men that I asked they would have hot rod in that car too. There is no reason to blame all teens in this generation. And look at what your saying. You had to comment before you even knew the facts.

All I did was ask a simple question after the accident. Now, 2 days later I have lost a lot (not all) hope in the younger generation if these idiotic statements are any representation of how young girls think! And after all that, someone is complaining about the State Trooper because he was not wanting another accident to happen due to illegal parking? Captain Crunch should save this and read it in ten years. The young lady needs to really take a breath and think about what she is saying.

The State Patrol Man that was at the accident scene was more than a bit to be desired. Has he never been to accident scene before? He sure didn't act like it. The parents of one on the girls should do some major complaining to the department head at the State Patrol headquarters. He was screamimg at the parents only because they had parked their vechile in the wrong place. He would not let the mother go to see her daughter until the vechile was moved. HOW sad and disgusting it was watching that poor mother. SHAME ON YOU STATE PATROL MAN!!!!

She was racing so I guess more then half a dozen people or so need their eyes examined. Where you there? I was there and had several people in my car watching her race down Milwaukee. A MISTAKE well let's hope that the next mistake doesn't kill someone.

OMG!! Doesn't our society have anything better to do than put peaople down and get into others business. A mistake was made. No one can tell that they have never made a mistake, that is how the human raise learns, and we adapt and learn from those mistakes. Also, who made you people the judge and jury of others lives.

I do happpen to know this girl, and I can honestly say that she has learned a lesson. She is a very responsible girl who is going to school, and holding a job, and bought her own car, and other items. Most teens today depend on their parents, who pamper most. This girl does not, if she would like something extra besides food, or housing she buys it herself...

In closing, she was not racing light to light, and iff that is what you think you saw, get your eyes examined!! I think the problem is that people makes judgement to easily, and have way to much time on their hands!!!!

"Plus she learned a lesson before she killed anybody right." What an idiotic thing to say. If someone shoots a gun and misses someone is that ok because they didn't kill them? This girl had her car going at least 50 she is very lucky she didn't do more damage then what she did.

Okay she broke some laws. She is paying for them. She probably will for a long time. And not ways she wants to. We all break the law. And let me tell you spikesmom I am pretty sure your son or daughter will break the law too. There aren't just teens that break the law. Remember when you where a teen? I am sure you broke the law many times

Driving is a privilege, not a right. Having a license does not give you license to drive any way you want to and disregard all other law abiding drivers on the road. There are speed limits and traffic lights for a reason. How incredibly selfish it is to ignore them. You are not the only one on the road. If you want to be cool and show off to your friends how fast you can drive, go out to some isolated country road so that if anything bad happens, no one that matters will get hurt. I get a kick out of the shrines out on the 11 bypass for the two motorists who were killed a few years ago. Neither one had a valid license. If even one of them had obeyed that, there would have been no accident that day. At least they no longer can wreak havoc on the road and threaten anyone's lives. Driving is not for showing off. It's for getting from point A to point B. My son will be driving in less than 2 years. I am dreading that day because I will be letting him loose on all the idiots driving around Janesville that don't think rules apply to them. That scares the he** out of me.

State patrol was involved because he was on duty, lives near by and responded to the accident.

I don't think you can be blaming the girls because I know for fact one was only fifteen. She couldn't have been driving. Plus she learned a lesson before she killed anybody right. I feel bad for the other van too but they all walked away. We all know they broke the law but look at your past. I am pretty sure everyone has broken the law. I don't care the age you are I know you have broken the law. I go to drivers ed and they do teach me to stop at red. You gotta understand that they know what they did was wrong.

I suspect the other driver would have prefered this young woman learning her lesson before she blew a red light and smashed into his van. I'm pretty sure they teach you to stop for red lights in driver's ed. Learning your lesson is great for the next time but it doesn't do anyone much good this time, does it.

What about the poor driver of the van? Is it fair to that person that these girls learned their lesson? Like he probably cares. He was doing the right thing and driving through a green light. These girls were BREAKING THE LAW! Why would/should anyone be defending these girls? Give me a break!

Instead of defending these girls on here, may be you should be spending time with them and making sure they know what they did was stupid, and selfish.Just a thought.

I am going to say that I know these girls really good. I know for fact that the only reason they don't have any names is because the crash was too late. And the one that got hurt she didn't come out of the Emergency Room until 12:30. That is too late to get in the paper. Maybe you guys shouldn't be so nosy. Why do we have to know the names? So we can sit there and make fun of them? I know for a fact the girls learned a lesson. I am pretty sure the driver won't be driving for a long time and the other was just getting her temps and she doesn't even wanna drive. This can happen with any age of a group. I am pretty sure if there was an older man with a corvette I am pretty sure he'd wanna race. Let's just not bring up the fact how the accident happened because that doesn't really matter. It matters that they all are okay and got up and walked away from the crash.

First of all I am saying they aren't to blame. But you don't know anything about the accident. They did learn lessons. I am sure they learned lessons. I know nobody was killed and they are very lucky. They COULD have killed someone but they didn't. Give that fact up that they didn't. Maybe someone was watching over one of them. I know the one the got hurt is having a hard time. I think you guys just need to hear the rest of the story before getting into anybody's business. Maybe you guys need to stay out of their business. Didn't your mother's teach you that? Mine did

How come no names were released? They are after most accidents. Hopefully, there will be some more details coming out. Especially if there were any tickets involved!

Are you serious they learned a lesson???? They could have killed someone driving like that.I am not saying it is only teens that drive like that but in this case watching how that young lady was flying down the road it was scary. The story was poorly written and made it sound like the van was at fault driving into the building and that isn't fair to him.

The story is very poorly written. There is no such thing as "Wisconsin State Patrol deputies" do you really mean the State Patrol and Rock County Deputies? Who knows. At any rate it would be very unusual to have the state or county investigating an accident in downtown Janesville.

severity? I am pretty sure I only know of one person getting hurt and they should have gotten way more hurt. At least everybody is still a live. Your right there could have been a lot more but what happened has happened for now. I know the girls and they have learned a lesson from it. I am sure a lot of people have learned lessons from it. And let me just tell you don't blame it on the teens cause sometimes older people hot rod in cars like that. And what are we doing with our society? Everybody is getting into one anothers
business. Let's just stay out of it if we aren't in it.

What the heck is that all about? Must be a relative not wanting to admit the severity of what happened. "What's done is done. Leave it be". Are you kidding me? They could have killed someone. What if it would have been a pedestrian?

People are obviousley unaware of how easily cars these days will crumple. Cars are designed on impact, to compact to be safer. So appearance and what not has no say in what happened. To my belief no one was severely hurt so unless you were actually there and witnessed it happening. Keep your assumptions to yourself. This is the problem with our community. I am very disappointed with people and their comments of things of this significance. Furthermore, there was no glass shattered or what not and like anyone needs to know but there was no racing involved so people can just stop.

The van was not the cause of the accident. The other car was racing with another vehicle down milwaukee and ran the red light hitting the van and almost turning it upside down. This young lady is lucky she did not kill someone driving like an idiot.

The State Patrol may have assisted because Janesville officers were on other calls. We saw police activity on North Academy and at McKinley and Locust as well as a report of sirens headed south all around the same time.
.
This site used to be a good one for accidents in the circuit days -- one reason the parking plaza is now enter-only from Milwaukee. It may be that someone ignored the signs and pulled out to make a left -- or it may have been two vehicles getting onto Milwaukee both going for the same lane. I have long suspected that some turning there forget that it's a one way street, because they cross all the way over to the right lanes.

Someone was going darn fast. The other car was totaled. Wonder why state trooper was first one there? Was it a chase that went wrong? The car had to have been flying to get the whole front end destroyed and send the van into the building.
