The winning ways continued Thursday afternoon for Janesville Craig High School’s baseball team. The Cougars rallied with two runs in the fifth inning and got three-plus innings of one-hit relief pitching from Zach Bayreuther in upending Madison East, 6-4, in a Big Eight Conference game at Riverside Park. Meanwhile, Matt Zeier’s grand slam proved to be the difference for Madison La Follette in a 10-6 Big Eight win over visiting Janesville Parker. Parker (4-12, 6-15) took a 6-4 lead in the third, but La Follette put up four in the bottom of the inning on Zeier’s two-out grand slam to take the lead for good.
