Craig wins, Parker falls in baseball
The winning ways continued Thursday afternoon for Janesville Craig High School’s baseball team. The Cougars rallied with two runs in the fifth inning and got three-plus innings of one-hit relief pitching from Zach Bayreuther in upending Madison East, 6-4, in a Big Eight Conference game at Riverside Park. Parker (4-12, 6-15) took a 6-4 lead in the third, but La Follette put up four in the bottom of the inning on Zeier’s two-out grand slam to take the lead for good.
